You are unique, so your therapy better be unique, too.
I do not believe in a one size fits all approach. I am trained in multiple therapy approaches and use these approaches as tools in my toolbox to provide the best possible services. Below are 3 of the many approaches I utilize when working with Clients.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy modality that utilizes bi-lateral stimulation to target painful memories. I have seen the power of EMDR and utilize it to assist clients in moving towards their therapy goals.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapy approach that challenges clients to change their relationship with their thoughts and feelings, while committing to change. ACT is a powerful approach full of many therapy interventions that I utilize.
Trauma-focused therapy
Trauma-Focused Therapy is an approach that recognizes the impact that traumatic experiences have on an individual’s emotional, mental, behavioral, physical, and spiritual well-being. I have extensive experience as a trauma-focused therapist, and utilize this approach in a manner that is competent, compassionate, and appropriate to each individual.
Other therapy approaches utilized in my tool box: Sex-Positive Therapy, Attachment Theory, Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Are you interested in a therapy approach not listed here? I would love to discuss this with you!
